The Deputy Grand Superintendent’s First Chapter Visit

On the 24th May, the day after the Annual Convocation, the Companions of Tiffinian Chapter No. 3530 were honoured by a visit from the Deputy Grand Superintendent, E.Comp. Richard Knox, PAGSoj, on his first Executive Visit as our new Deputy Grand Superintendent.

The Deputy Grand Superintendent’s First Chapter Visit

The Chapter was opened by the MEZ, E.Comp. Greer Kirkwood, who welcomed the Deputy Grand Superintendent, wished him a most enjoyable Convocation and offered him the Sceptre. E.Comp. Richard said how much he was looking forward to his first visit to a Chapter as the Deputy Grand Superintendent, addressed the Companion and took the minutes. He then invited the MEZ to resume the First Principal’s Chair.

The main item on the agenda was to receive a dramatic presentation from a team from Metropolitan Grand Chapter entitled ‘The Royal Arch in Camera’. This most interesting and informative presentation was well received and prompted some good discussion afterwards. The MEZ thanked E.Comp. Rob Chaproniere, MetGI, and the team for an excellent presentation.

The Chapter Treasurer then proposed that the Chapter donates a further sum of £550 towards the 2019 Festival to secure a Gold Award. A cheque for this amount was presented to the Deputy Grand Superintendent who had much pleasure in pinning a Gold Award on the Charity Steward’s Collar, thanking the Chapter for it’s support for the Festival.
