Stephen J Wigmore PGStB - Third Provincial Grand Principal

25th Anniversary of Sit Perpetuum

Born in Middlesex in 1954, Steve was educated at The Skinner’s School in Kent and the Britannia Royal Naval College. He was a member of the Royal Institute of Navigation. After the Royal Navy he spent over 20 years in export sales and marketing in the marine and defence industries. After a further 2 years as an independent consultant he decided that he needed a complete break from the rate race and he set himself up as a painter/decorator/handyman which he did for 15 years. Steve is now semi-retired and looking forward to a full retirement in the near future.

Steve was initiated in 1983 and is a member of three Craft Lodges. He was exalted in 1988 and is a subscribing member of two Royal Arch Chapters and an Honorary Member of two Royal Arch Chapters. In the Royal Arch Steve’s first appointment was to Provincial Grand Standard Bearer. He was the Provincial Almoner for five years and an Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals for three years before being appointed as Third Provincial Grand Principal.

Steve is also in the Mark Degree, a Royal Ark Mariner, a member of a Rose Croix Chapter as well as a member of a Royal and Select Masters Council.

Steve has a 19 year old daughter who lives with him. He says that with a teenage daughter, a mental female boxer dog and his Masonic commitments he doesn’t have much time for hobbies. His interests are Gardening, DIY, motor sport, team sports (rugby, cricket etc. nowadays as spectator only), reading, and all forms of music, current affairs, and 20th century naval history.

We wish Steve many successful and enjoyable years in his new role.
